The renovation of the Faculty’s surroundings in the building complex on road ‘3rd September’ was carried out on the basis of a study aimed at the aesthetic and ecological upgrading of the area, as well as its functional and educational use. The renovation also promotes an environmentally friendly image of the space and cultivates space values for future teachers.
The renovation of the Faculty’s surroundings in the building complex on road ‘3rd September’ was carried out on the basis of a study aimed at the aesthetic and ecological upgrading of the area, as well as its functional and educational use. The renovation also promotes an environmentally friendly image of the space and cultivates space values for future teachers.
For the formulation of the study, the views and proposals of the students of the two Schools were investigated. Data collection, through questionnaires and interviews, was carried out by students of the School of Primary Education in the context of the ‘Environmental Education’ course.
The result was the creation of an aromatic garden with a variety of Greek herbs, the planting of trees and bushes in the wider area, the creation of spaces for relaxation with benches and pergolas and the design of parking spaces for different vehicles.
