The Centre of Inclusive Policy (C.I.P.) aims to promote the equal participation of all students of the School of Education in the educational life of the university. The C.I.P. has been operating since the academic year 2005 and is under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Education. During its operation, it has contributed significantly to the dissemination of its “know-how” to other similar institutions of higher education on issues related to access to knowledge and accessibility to infrastructure.

The scientific supervision of the Centre for Integration Policy is carried out by the Integration Policy Committee of the Faculty of Education.
The actions of KEP concern:

  1. improving the conditions for electronic access to information and knowledge through the following practices:
    • Information and support for the registration process and the acquisition of an institutional account
    • Explanations for the Undergraduate Program of Studies (Courses & Statements, Textbooks, Timetable)
    • Information and support for the use of the electronic services of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (School of Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Survival Guide of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Services of the IT Center of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, e-Course Service, Electronic Secretariat)
    • Advisory support throughout the studies – information sessions
    • Informing faculty members about the evaluation of students with disabilities, chronic diseases or other educational needs.
    • Preparation for Practical Training (configuration of supervisory materials and use of laptops for Internships)
    • Print texts in Braille
    • Tactile and audio reading of internet contents at the C.I.P. office.
    • Digitization of a large part of the proposed textbooks of School of Primary Education and School of Early Childhood Education. The Digital Library numbers more than one hundred (1000) titles of textbooks of the two Departments of the School
    • Convert university textbooks from pdf files to word files using ABBY FineReader software
  2. supporting and solving problems of students with disabilities and health problems (contacts with faculty members, course statements, textbook statements in Eudoxus, textbook requests, access to websites).
  3. διακοσμητική εικόναThe provision of comprehensive support and coordinated information on study issues (practical exercises, examination program, postgraduate programs, food, housing, etc.).
  4. the immediate service of students through electronic and telephone communication (separate telephone line, see below, Communication).
  5. The support of students of the Muslim minority.
  6. the interconnection and cooperation with all relevant bodies inside and outside the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
    • the Accessibility Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
    • the AMELib Digital Access Controlled Access Library network
    • the Central Library of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the creation of a station, equivalent to the KEP
    • the Centre for European Legal Culture (KENOP) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
    • the Technical Service of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for student accessibility issues at the School.
  7. the organization of events to promote social issues.

Opening Hours

The C.I.P. Office is located within the Library of the School, on the 2nd floor of the Pyrgos building.

During the academic year 2023-24:every Thursday 09:00 -14:00.

During the summer holidays, Christmas and Easter days as well as in emergency cases (staff leave), the C.I.P. operates with different hours, which is announced in time in the Announcements of the Secretariat of this website.
