Toymakers of the Tower

The music and pedagogical group “Toymakers of Pyrgos” was created in 2014 at the Faculty of Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki by students of the School of Early Childhood Education as well as the School of Primary Education coordinated by Nikos Theodoridis (Special Teaching Staff of School of Early Childhood Education) and since 2017 by Polybios Androutsos (Special Teaching Staff of the School of Primary Education).

The main objective of the group is creative artistic expression, with music and experiential learning games playing a central role, as well as communication through the production and presentation of shows and events aimed at young and old age alike.

Dance Interaction

The Dance Interaction group creates and communicates through expressive movement and dance, either independently or in collaboration with music groups of the Faculty of Education. It presents artistic themes and choreographies that are designed based on the interests and skills of its members, while it also creates actions of kinetic expression and dance with a pedagogical interactive orientation, addressed to children. It is composed of students who love movement and dance, whether they have previous dance training or not. Its members come mainly from the School of Early Childhood Education, because the group is linked to the specific course of the Department “Pedagogical Dimension of Dance”, but several times students from the School of Primary Education and some other departments of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki participate. Membership is not fixed and the group is open to all.

Group leader:
Eva Pavlidou, Associate Professor of School of Early Childhood Education

Theatrical Group “Ftu & Going Out”

The student theatre group “Ftu & Going out!” was founded in October 2014, out of the awareness of the stated desire for extroversion of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and for the active role that theatre can and should play in the cultural life of our city. Each year the group selects the theatrical work to be staged at the end of the academic year.

Paedagogus Ludens Theatre-Pedagogical Group

The Paedagogus Ludens group was founded in 2009 by the Associate Professor of Theatre Education at the School of Early Childhood Education of the Faculty of Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Antonis Lennakakis, who is also responsible for the group.

It’s more than 70 members today include students of the Faculty of Education and other faculties of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, many of whom have completed their studies, continue their postgraduate studies in Greece and abroad and continue to participate in the activities of the group.

The Musicians’ Rope Walkers

The Musicians’ Rope Walkers is a music education group with a special interest in music creation. The artistic supervision and coordination is provided by Konstantina Dogani, assistant professor of Music Εducation at the School of Early Childhood Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Film Group of the Faculty of Education (K.O.P.S.)

The K.O.P.S. is a newly established film group, consisting of students of the School of Primary Education who have a love and passion for cinema. The group of course remains open to adding new members throughout its existence. The aim of the group is to liven up the school, giving students the opportunity to take initiative and interact through film screenings that take place after classes.
